Cloe

Sweet Cloe.
Who couldn't love that face?

It's been a while since I've participated in any iHeart Faces photo challenges. I certainly couldn't pass this up. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Traincation

What a word, huh? Or - huh? What's that word? Training and semi-vacation!!

I'm in beautiful downtown Wilmington on the water for three whole weeks accompanying my team members while they learn a new system. Sure sounds painful, doesn't it?

I'm complain at times about my job and then I hear myself and realize that I need I just need to shut up. I'm blessed to be part of the gainfully employed Americans.

...and have views such as these. Joyful.

Sweet and Simple

Admiring babies from afar or from my lens is the way I like it. When I first see a new baby, my heart clenches then my mind begins to wonder and then I....SNAP BACK TO REALITY!?!
Still, this little guy made my heart skip a beat. He is so sweet.

Beautiful Day

Hoping your Easter Day was as beautiful and as Blessed as mine.

Now, if I could just manage to find the time to pick my camera up again. Slowly but surely, I'll find that happy medium again....someday.

Project 52 - I Dreamed a Dream {3/52}

project 52 p52 weekly photo challenge my3boybarians.com

These were the first pictures that came to mind after I took it last week.  There's actually a funny story behind these pictures.

I saw a post for the need of a child model - girl, darker hair, between the ages of 4-6. I replied and asked for the information of whom I needed to contact.  I sent an email to the contact and sent a B&W picture of Gabrielle.  A reply was sent that read that she fits the profile and asked for a color photo, if possible.  As I sat at my computer attaching all of the gorgeous color photos that I have of her, I look over to my right and there's Gabrielle smiling at me - sweet and semi-toothless.  She's lost 6 teeth since November.  All I could do is giggle to myself (and out loud), she's missing that many teeth and I'm submitting her as a prospect for print work in an ad?  Oh well, I'm sending the pictures and explain the situation, she's a beauty queen in my book.

Gabrielle is one of the most confident little girls I know.  I hope that's a trait she keeps forever.  She was born with a congenital disorder PERFECTION called, Hemifacial Microsomia.  My dream for her is to know that she is perfect in every way.  No matter what or how many surgeries the future brings as her body reaches skeletal maturity, there is absolutely nothing wrong with her.  Her beauty will come from within first and foremost and that will always shine above and beyond any outer beauty.

Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much I can dream can I be.
