Quality Time

Life is always so seemingly hectic for this little family of four. Work for both Oscar and I. School and homework along with various extra curricular activities for Caleb and Gabrielle. And this time of year is always a blur. So much to do with so little time. I hope to slow down sooner than later. I don't want to have regret because I didn't stop and take a look at what's moving so swiftly around me.

Today was a busy day like any other, except Oscar is away to conduct a training class in Florida. Instead of coming home (after work and two basketball practices) and hustling to cook dinner, start a load of laundry, vacuum, etc., I decided to start a little homemade project. I didn't sweat the small stuff, I merely stepped right over it. It will be there tomorrow, I'm sure of it.

I didn't get a picture of Caleb. He dashed after the goodies were cooled off. That's okay, I was able to get some of his time and attention this evening. It wasn't doing homework or asking him to pick up his dirty clothes, nope. Instead, we created, talked, laughed, loved. It isn't often I can say that, sadly. Something I need to add to my list to work on to do better.
