iheartfaces ~ Dramatic Black and White

This week's theme for iheartfaces is dramatic black and white. I love black and white photographs. The mystery they seem to hold, I just love it. In this photo, I love the Spanish moss in the tree - I also love my son who's in the tree too. The Spanish moss has been one of my favorite things about the Carolina's, both North and South Carolina. This picture was taken on the military base that we currently reside on. This is one of our favorite locations on the base to take family walks on together.

That's my son Caleb in the tree. He was so proud that he climbed up on his own.

Spring Is Arriving...And So Is My Husband!

The time has come! Finally! He's coming home!! Just in time for spring and spring break and SUMMER...it's just around the corner. He wasn't here last summer, nor was he here the summer prior. He was deployed both times. Sadly, we were gladly at the beach during the weekends without dad. Is that mean? Sorry babe, we do love you!

I'm also glad spring is here. The blooms are beautiful!

Miss you

So, I'm in Charlotte, NC right now for DE (Direct Endorsement) training because I'm gonna be big time one day - big time underwriter that is! I want to make it to the top of the top and keep going with my career. I left on Monday around 3pm and I'll be leaving for home, Jacksonville, NC on Friday around 3pm. It's an experience that I'm so fortunate to be nominated for and I'm so very thankful, but I miss my kids. I don't know how my husband is deployed for 7 months at one given time?! I miss them so much right now. I wish I was in bed with them, cuddling and talking about their day and their ever so complex lives. Ugh. It's tough being a career mom and sometimes, I regret my decision to work. I'm mean, look at these guys...


...they are just lovely beings and I love them with everything I have inside of me. They are my heart and joy.

Thank you mom for allowing me the opportunity to better myself and knowing that my little beings are in good, loving hands.
